Adam, born May 31, 2012, is the older brother, born at 6:52 pm. He weighed in at 1 pound, 5.5 ounces and 12-inches long. He was breathing on his own and crying when he was born. He was working a little bit so they intubated him to help him out a little. They have since lowered the oxygen level because he is doing so well. He is being fed breast milk through a feeding tube. Daddy picked out a theme song for Adam - Bad To the Bone.
Kylee is the younger sister and over-achiever who tried to kick her way out first. Kylee was born on May 31, 2012 at 6:53 pm. She is 1 pound, 6.2 ounces and 11.8-inches long. She was also breathing on her own and crying at birth. She continues to breath on her own and is receiving lower doses of oxygen because of her progress. Kylee is also receiving breast milk through a feeding tube. Daddy's song for Kylee is Tiny Dancer. When I got in the car this afternoon the radio had been left on an FM station and Tiny Dancer started playing!
They are itsy bitsy but holding their own at the moment.
Emily was determined to see them today and got into a wheelchair and did in spite of the pain. Eric told me later that they both got to touch each of them for the first time. Can you spell over-the-moon?
Today was Grandpa Dan's, Uncle Russ, and cousin Julie's Birthdays. Happy Birthday! Dan got to visit with Emily and see the twins for the first time. You don't get better Birthday gifts than that! Five hours, a few minutes, and the Twins could have joined in the shared-Birthday fun but they insisted on May Birthdays!
