Okay, I know I am prejudice but isn't that what this Grandma thing is all about? Adam is the most handsome baby and Kylee the most beautiful baby I have ever laid eyes on. See, I told you I was prejudice!
Our tiny miracles are doing well. Adam is up to 2 ml of Mom's milk per hour and Kylee is due to increase to 2 ml this afternoon. The doctor is very happy with their progress.
They were both sleeping peacefully when I saw them today. Kylee doesn't like the light so the nurse covered her eyes with a cloth with Mommy's scent on it. The nurse lifted it for a moment and she opened her beautiful eyes and looked around. Kylee is well known in some nursing circles for being a squirmer. She routinely disconnects lines or gets tangled in them. I had to untangle her hand and arm from a wire today. It is indescribable to feel her tiny hands and fingers.
Adam is the love bug of the nursery. He is mellow and goes along with most things (except a wet diaper - then his mood resembles his sister's as he squirms). When I saw Adam today he was sleeping peacefully. When he saw the light as I lifted the blankets covering his enclosure he opened his beautiful eyes and started looking around, then went back to sleep. He is so sweet!
Thank you, thank you for all the prayers, love, and positive energy being sent to Emily, Eric, Adam and Kylee's way. They and their families thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
