Adam and Kylee are doing wonderfully so far. Mommy got to touch them both this morning and cradle their heads in her hand (Grandma got to cradle Adam!). Adam gave Emily a thrill. When she told him she was going to go see Kylee, he opened his eyes for the first time for her. Mommy also heard Kylee cry for the first time. She stopped as soon as she heard Emily's voice soothing her. We got to see Kylee's head for the first time today because she has had a cap on to help keep up her body temperature. Kylee has blonde hair and Adam has brown hair. They look a lot alike right now except for the different colored hair.
Tonight, Emily got to change both of their diapers for the first time. No one has ever been more thrilled to change two diapers!!! Hahaha ...and no one was more thrilled to hear about it than her mother!!!
Emily is doing incredible well. She had a C-section and is very sore but she walked down to the nursery twice today to see Adam and Kylee. She walked down the corridor to take her first shower in two weeks and is able to wear her own clothes now. She is going to be home before we know it!
Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers, love, and positive energy being sent. It is like going through this with a wall of love and positive energy surrounding our family. It helps us all more than we could articulate and leaves us filled with gratitude.
