Today Adam graduated from a ventilator to a bubbler! The doctor said his latest X-ray was the best he has ever seen of Adam's lungs. I was there when they transitioned him to the bubbler and as they worked on him removing the ventilator and connecting him to the bubbler, his numbers never dipped. He turned fire engine red with anger while they worked on him, but his numbers never dropped. After the change over and a dirty diaper change, Adam was resting and posting the most beautiful numbers. He is our tiny little super hero tonight!
Kylee continues to be our other tiny super hero. Her numbers remain strong and she has been on room level oxygen for days without incident to speak of. This means she is breathing successfully on her own except for the help of the bubbler which she routinely removes.
Both Grandmas, Mema and Grandma Flo, were on hand with Mommy and cousin Julie to hear and see how well Adam is doing. It was a good day for all of us!
