Wow! Ten weeks old today! It is hard to believe!
Today was a very good day for the twins. Mommy and I visited this afternoon just as Adam was getting ready to be bottle fed. Mommy got to bottle feed him and he drank about a third of his bottle before tiring of it. Then he laid in Mommy's arms for the longest time looking at her, looking around, looking at his ducky, just hanging out with Mommy.
Meanwhile, Kylee was particularly fussy with her feeding due next. She was also fussy because she was very busy filling her diaper. Now being a good Grandma Flo, I changed her diaper while Mommy fed Adam. She had a full diaper so you would think she was quite done... I mean... how much can a tiny little girl like that poop? But oh no... Grandma got initiated into the Kylee Projectile Pooping Club. Adam also has such a club. Many have been indoctrinated into these clubs including a long list of nurses, Mommy, and Daddy. Until today this activity has been purely spectator sport for Grandma Flo. Suffice it to say it took quite some time to get everyone and everything changed and cleaned up. However, it was well worth it because after I got her all cleaned up I got to feed Kylee her bottle for the first time while Mommy cuddled with Adam. She truly is an over-achiever. She drank her bottle down in 19 minutes flat with a burp break! She has now graduated to a bottle every other feeding. As soon as she was done and burped, she was exhausted and fell asleep in my arms. True love.
When Daddy arrived, Kylee began fussy again and quieted right down when Daddy went over and talked to her and turned her toward her mirror (yes, a mirror - she IS a girl!). She fell right back to sleep after that.
Thank you for the prayers, love, kind words, kind thoughts, positive energy, and support for Adam and Kylee. These tiny babies demonstrate just what miracles are all about. Today was a very good day.
