Today was a very good day. Adam and Kylee are doing well. But the real story today is Eric and Emily getting to hold their babies for the first time. They were over the moon!!! I was over the moon when I got the first pictures!!! One of the hardest things in the world to do is go home after giving birth without your babies. Then, not to be able to hold them and bond makes it all the more difficult. Emily and Eric sat for almost two hours holding their tiny beautiful son and daughter for the first time this afternoon. They were walking on air when they got home and had the biggest smiles on their faces we have ever seen.
What an incredible early first Father's Day gift!!! Eric also found chocolate bars wrapped in fabric by each of the baby's incubators when he arrived this afternoon. Each had a tag that read, "For My Father," and the tags were signed with Adam and Kylee's tiny feet. What a wonderful surprise!!! There are just no words for the incredible things that people quietly do for others that mean the world. What a beautifully thoughtful thing to do.
Thank you to all those donating preemie clothes to the twins. It is greatly appreciated and know that your kindness will be paid forward to the next family who needs them as Adam and Kylee outgrow them.
Thank you for all the prayers, love, light, well wishes, and positive energy being sent Adam and Kylee's way. We are eternally grateful and we are humbled by this outpouring. They are being watched over by so many angels. Today was a very good day.
