June 5, 2012

Today was Emily's first day home.  She and and Eric went to visit Adam and Kylee.  Adam held and squeezed Eric's finger and Mommy got to hold Kylee for the first time!  It was just lifting her up for the nurse, but she held her in her hands for the first time. What a thrill!!!

Adam and Kylee are both doing very good and had a good day today.  They are just the cutest little teenie tinies!!!  They are both being fed Mommy's milk and breathing with low doses of oxygen.  They are both under UV lights but Adam got the cooler light!  Kylee got moved closer to Adam today in the Neonatal ICU nursery.  Now we can see both of them at the same time when we visit.  Earlier there was a wall between them.

Emily is continuing to heal.  She is very tired and still sore but is walking around quite a bit and doing great.  Her incision is healing and looked much better tonight when we dressed it.

Everyone in the NICU nursery says Adam and Kylee are doing remarkably well.  It is so good to hear!!!  They are tiny and way young, but otherwise doing fantastic so far.

We thank everyone for their continued prayers, love, and positive energy.  These two little miracles are living proof of just how powerful such things are!  Today was a good day!

  1. I am amazed at how great they both look. Emily has to be over the moon, getting to hold her daughter for the first time. Thank you again for sharing your families journey with us. Praying for continued progress for the lil' ones ♥
